Miguel Porto is a professional Cinematographer with over 18 years of experience in the film and television industry. Now based in New York City, He began his career in Florida Film as a grip and electric technician for Cine Video Tech Miami.

After 5 years of working in his hometown, Miguel moved to Los Angeles to pursue his goals of joining a camera department. In Los Angeles he would work over a decade as a Lead camera assistant and Focus Puller on high-profile productions.

Since reclassifying as a union local 600 camera operator in 2018, Miguel has worked extensively across narrative, non-scripted, live broadcast, corporate, documentary, and concert performance formats.

His operating credits include cinematic docu-series, nationally televised competition shows like MTV’s The Challenge, and reality-based projects for directors such as Robert Rodriguez.

Miguel’s experience spans multi-camera broadcast events, single-camera narrative shoots, and dynamic, high-pressure environments such as live music performances and unscripted field productions. He is proficient with cinema and broadcast camera systems, gimbal rigs, drones, and remote systems. He always brings a technically grounded, production-ready approach to each project
